A Natural Hair Care Product - From Nature to The Consumer

Many hair care products claim to be natural, but are they really? Companies advertise the word natural in their hair and body care products, but do they chemical free? Natural hair care products should be free of chemicals and preservatives. The most common chemicals in hair care products are foaming agents. Consumers do not like to buy shampoo if it doesn't get sudsy on the hair. Consumers also demand a long shelf life. If there aren't preservatives in the hair care products, many will last only a few weeks. The resistance by hair companies to use chemicals is admirable, but they must also meet the demands of the public for a fine quality natural hair care product that does what the people want.

Sometimes, it is difficult to tell if the hair product is natural or there is actually a chemical synthetic that sounds natural. Jojoba oil is an example of sounding natural, but can actually be a synthetic version in the hair product. Aloe vera is another natural ingredient in hair care products that can be watered down to a fraction of its potential. In 1992, Aveda began using all-natural coloring ingredients from uruku powder in South America. Since then, a small village in Brazil has gained economic independence because of using these natural hair dyes.

Other ways people are maintaining healthy hair is to take hair vitamins. These vitamins nourish the hair from within. The health of our hair speaks volumes about our physical health too. Dull, lifeless hair could mean there are problems with the body. Your diet effects the health of the internal systems and organs, but the hair, skin and fingernails. Hair vitamins can help with thinning hair and hair that grows slowly. natural hair care products picture

It could also mean the hair company is environmentally friendly and wants to provide herbal and plant materials in their hair care products. Read the labels of all hair care products and determine if the product is right for your type of hair.
